Legendary New York punk guitarist Robert Quine was found dead in his apartment in NYC.
According to Billboard Magazing he died of an apparant heroin overdose. Quine was a member of punk pioneers Richard Hell and the Voidoids and worked with other luminaries such as Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Brian Eno, John Zorn and Lester Bangs.

Why do so many good musicians die young when there's so many lame ones more deserving of that fate? Quine was a part of some great music, and I'll listen to some Richard Hell tonight in tribute.
