Japanese TV Ads
from the 50s to the 80s. Pretty awesome. They are all from an interesting looking exhibit on Japanese beauty/consumerism. You've got to check out bottom middle, its awesome.

I like the bathing marionette (third row down, center). If I were a marionette, I'd hit it. Notice how she washes her own strings? How postmodern of her. And the one with the swan dancers and the Kitaro music (third row, left column).

Suddenly, Chris Cunningham's sensuous automata look bland and cold by comparison That marionette ad is quite good. You can feel the warm wood texture... *cough*. But... why, why, WHY RealPlayer? Anyone knows some method to save Real streams?

Flagpole, on the Click Opera page you can download the ref files, which is the next best thing... but yeah, i was annoyed by that too.
