Wow! It sure sucks to be an artist daughter.
Lucia really had a difficult childhood: Intermittent education, no permanent home or language, strabismus, an uncaring mother, and an semi-absent father. Just enough to make anyone go mad. But she got more than that. [Via Arts & Letters Daily]

That second link wants to go here. (You have to leave the "http://" in the address or the computie goes stupid.) Incidentally, is getting dumped by Sam Beckett bad luck or good luck?
-
Thanks for the correction Wolof. And, about being dumped by Beckett. Who knows, maybe they were made for each other. I would consider good luck being dumped by Lucia Joyce and I somewhat understand those who dumped her. Athough I now it wasn't her fault entirely being the way she was. And I'm not considering her strabism, which was the least of her problems.

Is getting dumped by Sam Beckett bad luck or good luck? Maybe if it was this Sam Beckett... See, Zemat, I'm commenting in your thread!

That Sam Beckett didn't needed to dump any girl. They would never notice he was gone in the first place. Thanks wendell. I paid you with another visit to the game. Anyway, I should strive to make my posts a little more interesting or debatable.

But does she understand his books? Can she explain them? That would be, like, a whole career. Full disclosure: Once participated in a marathon reading of Ulysses.
