How Will I Know Her?
"When we meet new girls we ask them if they would like to participate in this project. They are photographed holding photographs of the ones they miss..." Oddly effective.

Very cool. A little sad. Nice idea. Grr, popup-based sites.

There's an interesting program I saw when I was in Russia, I don't know if there's one in the US or not. It's called "Wait for me", and the idea is you mail in your story, who you're missing, and they find them. Soldiers gone missing in Chechnya, cousins lost in Ukraine or Tajikstan when the Soviet Union fell apart, amnesiacs wandering the roads, every week it has a new couple marvellous reunions. Real tearjerker. If there isn't such a show in Angloland, there ought to be.

Wow, this is sad. I'm always taken by surprise when something on the web actually makes me feel something deeply. Nice to be reminded that it can be so moving. Thanks

Sonja Portland, Oregon USA Baby pictures of me and my parents. I can't see them because they're in prison. jeez. Also, I didn't learn this in high school, but Oberhausen seems to be German for hottie. (Shallow, you say?)

Brief first-person accounts of loss, longing, rejection, gratitude, and curisoity -- in many cases, what is missing is a final resolution for the narrator.
