Heavy Little Objects.
Mack Reed catalogues and glorifies the things he builds and finds.
(via del.icio.us again... sigh)

i've been known to pick up random bits of this and that off the ground, or in an antique shop, or wherever (i have a sort of cool collection of tiny lab glassware - like 1 mL beakers, and that sort). so i sort of understand the idea here. but somehow i don't think i'm quite as obsessed as this guy - but it seems like a healthy obsession, so i say good for him.

I like this site. I REALLY like this site. The objects are ok interesting, but the guy's writing is what makes it. Not every entry is fantabulishius, but there's a couple in which he waxes lyrical. I have a small collection of little objects--worthless to anyone but me, but they trigger good memories--several horse teeth, tiny polished rocks, a wee dictionary found in an abandoned shack, a doll's teacup, old marbles. Odd, the things we save.
