CACI:
An interesting piece on NPR yesterday about the outsourcing of intelligence work In Iraq to private contractors. You can get a job there if you want. I call Interrogator.
-
Interrogator. "Under moderate supervision, provide intelligence support for interviewing local nationals and determining there threat to coalition forces." So it's no longer necessary to be able to spell to torture, humiliate and harrass Iraqis?
-
Naah... how much literacy do you need to spell "Argh!" or "AAIIEEE!"?
-
Private contractors? 'Corporations have no souls.' No oversight? Nobody's responsible for what 'private contractors' do or don't do. They're outside the chain of command. Such a wonderful, guilt-free, no-trouble-to-the-electorate, don't-show-the-coffins, stinking system. /sarcasm

Here is the New Yorker article alluded to in the first link.
