Back to the Future DeLorean insanity sale on eBay Every childhood fantasy that didn't include women fulfilled for only $35k. Where's my life preserver
  • She's a goner already. Guess the eBay staff decided to claim it for themselves.
  • You can read the ongoing saga about this post here. (I got the link from the Boingboing entry) Apparently the issue is with the photographs, which are owned by the guy who made it, not the guy who is selling it. The builder doesn't have much confidence in the cars structural integrity. So yeah, withdraw your bids.
  • That's a shame, because GOD DAMN i want one.
  • Me too.
  • Ok. Clearly, I would sell any one of my close personal friends for one. But what's with the builder? He's trying to stop sale of the car because the current owner is using his images without permission? Seems kind of... I don't know. Petty. Sounds like someone regrets selling off his pet project (for what I can only assume is to be MUCH less than the current bid) and this is the only way he feels like he has any control over what was once his. Why doesn't the seller just take new photos. Also, having a salvaged frame isn't a serious problem if you're not using this as a daily driver. It's only going to matter if you get into an accident, and I think all that extra stuff glued on everywhere would be more of a concern than a pulled frame.
