I've really enjoyed looking through this music review site. I came across his page on Peter Gabriel sometime last year, and I was very impressed by the detail and originality of his reviews. It's been a lot of fun to see how his views on Nick Cave and Bjork have developed, especially so since he is reviewing from Russia, where the music of many of these artists are not generally available, let alone known or overplayed. Find your own favorite band or artist, and see what he has to say - I guarantee he'll have a fresh perspective that will make you look at what you listen to in a new way. By the way, George Starostin, the proprietor, is professionally a linguist, working on the Tower of Babel, an ambitious project aiming to collect and organize in databases hypothesized root words in the Altaic, North-Caucasian, Dravidian, Sino-Tibetan, Chukchi-Kamchatkan, Semitic, North Khosian, South Khosian, Central Khosian, Yenissean and Bakhnar language groups, with the aim of reconstructing the proto World language.

Dear PF, Well, I was starting to get hot under the collar as I read his diss of Led Zep. and was preparing to read no further. Then I reviewed his list and decided to give him another chance with Tom Waits. I will grudgingly admit he did a good job. And if I step back from my personal feelings about L.Z. and try to look at the bigger picture he probably got fairly close to the truth about them as well, although I would give them more than a 3 just because their L.Z.!! I also read some of his bio and found him to be quite endearing. Poor guy looks like he doesn't know what sunshine looks like. I'm now wondering if he ever finds the time to sleep, what with all the studies, music listening/reviewing, books, family, etc. So, to recap; Curious, outraged, waivering, agreeing, liking, all is ok. Thanks. Your friend,

Dear PF, Thanks for making me waste the whole morning :) Kind Regards, TC

Should have mentioned it took me a couple months to read the whole site. Darshon, I got mad at first too, but the more I read the less attention I pay to his artist ratings, and the more I look for his guidance to what to listen to. Glad you all liked it!

Oh, man. This is an excellent find, PF.

Thanks PF, great find. Did anybody else notice that this guy loves The Who? I've read his reviews of about a dozen different bands so far and I think he worked a Who comparison into every one. Now, if I can find 500 hours of spare time I'll read the rest of the reviews.
