Tiffany Brissette was the actress who played VICI the robot on that glorious 80s show Small Wonder. Here she is immortalized by an obsessive and confused fan base (David Zapasnik asks "have you ever ridden a robot horse?" among other things; his post is must-read). Another young girl points out "You're so beautiful in so many ways, & so are your hands & knees."

Another girl has set up a page dedicated to the afternoon she met Tiffany. Of course, there's the inevitable fan fiction, complete with terrifying charcoal drawing. (These websites blew me away about five years ago, and was just today reminded when, via fark, I came across this fellow, who decided to make a fantastic TRON costume.)

  • Okay, tmb48, when you say 'these websites blew me away about five years ago....', are you saying in a bad way or in a good way? Cause, dude, I'm disturbed by all of the above. I kinda wish I hadn't checked 'em out. Especially that last one.:{
  • omg why, WHY didn't i heed Darshon's regret at having visited that last link...? forks, yah... damn. 2 guesses why this kid hasn't worked since the early 90's... fear and loathing perhaps...?
  • woah, the tron fan is the stapler freak from office space....
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California, USA gee, i wonder what triggered her interest in this particular field of study...?
  • Darshon: blew me away as in "did that guy really just say he goes to the mall and asks for spare change as a robot? woooah.. that blows me away." forksclovetofu: that link used to go the same charcoal drawing as provided.
  • oh wait, forksclovetofu, i was thinking of a different dead link.. sorry.. anyway, i apologize for that last link. i guess maybe NSFW? still.. that dude is SO HAPPY!!
  • Forky
  • Thanks, suture, it's all top class!
  • Now I need to take a crap.
  • my new favorite person, david zapasnik, has posted elsewhere. You'll recognize his design company (listed at the bottom of that post) if you've ever been to the Detroit Zoo... in any case, I'm mostly interested in these pages because they are relics of a quainter, more confusing internet, where young girls in Pakistan can write to their heroes, and others can simply write "please, please, please, tell me you're okay!!!!" No doubt that still goes on, but it's all automated. That fan page with all the e-mails.. there ain't no movable type there!
  • I'm threadjacking here, but may I introduce Our the new Jim Loy?
  • Preview, kids. It's there for a reason.
  • preveiw? what is it THAT possibly be?
  • That little runt isn't half the manimal Jim Loy is, and y'all know it. Jim Loy is laying low for three to six months (Grand Larceny, Canadian border, untaxed Ice-Melters), but he'll be back, you betcha bacon.
  • "YAARRRAAARRRGHFFPGH!!" ...is what Daniel said after clicking on the TRON page.
  • Mein eyes! Zee goggles do nothing! Wow. That Tron guy has no ass. Whaaaat?
