• HEL: Goddess of HELHEIM, the Norse Underworld. So she's HEL of the HELHEIM hell hall, which tends to become hellishly confusing. The daughter of LOKI and ANGRBODA, she's an ugly half-dead hag with gangrene legs and a hideous face. Which just shows that you can judge by appearances. Excellent. Sounds like every goddess I ever met.
• Consider yourself lucky. There are far worse.

• I'm sort of partial to Lumaluma, god of gluttony and gate crashing:
  Fed up with eating left-over scraps, LUMALUMA became partial to consuming dead children.
