I wanna be like you... No, I wanna be like you. The Zoological Society of London is calling for volunteers to adopt chimp behaviour as part of a research project.
*pant-hoots, scratches rump*
Ook?
  • This would be a great experiment for a bunch of kids to try at school for a day. *checks youngest for fleas*
  • IMHO, this is the ultimate Monkey post! *Opens mouth, shakes paws, hoots*
  • I heartily agree with BlueHorse and urge all Monkeys in and about the British isles to participate. (And yes, fellow primatology students, I _do_ remember that chimps are actually apes an not monkeys--it's still a great post.)
  • I'm sure this must be an April Fools joke, just a week late.
  • >>asking volunteers to 'talk chimp' in everyday life and see how primate patter can resolve workplace conflicts, express emotions and strengthen human bonds sanctioned poo flinging! wooooo!!!
  • This behavior is used to assert authority over others and is generally demonstrated by the males in the group. During this display the chimp makes as much noise as possible, whilst brandishing objects and making himself appear as big as he can. Where did you use this behavior and how did it work for you? I used this behavior on the Marunouchi Subway line during my morning commute. People reacted to it very strongly. There were several shrieks and howls from the females and some of the males demanded that I cease the behavior and attempted to restrain me. Upon exiting the train I was briefly detained by representatives of local law enforcement until I apologized and displayed my foreigner registration card.
