Cool Ass Berlin Hotel - 30 differently styled rooms, each containing custom-made furnishings and other objects. None of the pieces of furniture or rooms can be found anywhere else on this planet. Try the symbol room, the slanted floor room, the mirror room, the upside-down room, or the menagerie room.

  • Thanks a lot, f8x, two great sites and now I have to spend time looking at both of them... Seriously, another winner. The symbol room is really cool, the menagerie room scares me, and the mirror room wins for best description with the note "caution, very sexy!"

  • Cool! I'm going to Germany at the end of May...maybe I'll try spending a night in one of these weird rooms. Any monekys out there have some other suggestions of weird, wild, and/or wonderful sites to see in Germany?

  • I believe ya f8x. Just thinking how, in the infinite world of the Infernet the same links go around so fast. Not necessarily a bad thing, just sayin'. I mean, it's a cool hotel!

  • The theory is imaginative, but the thought of actually trying to sleep in the symbol, slanted or mirror rooms just gives me the willies. They would be be amazing to tour, but I could never sleep there. This one is funky, but would be awful to stay in: Wrapped - sleep in a mine pit! I really liked the Castle room (I want a castle bed, but they only come in toddler size) or the Hollywood Room ; most of the other good ones are the minimalist one, like Clouds, Temple, or Curry. The Upside Room is really cool, too, especially for a group. And the padded cell looks very restful.
  • Very cool! I love the 'nightlife' one and the 'clouds' and 'curry' rooms are very serene. I would be completely freaked out it I had to stay in that 'wrapped' room.
  • I like 4 beams. Not only do the pictures look a little like surrealist paintings, but "overweight guests" aren't allowed in! Yay! Seriously, this place looks amazing (and it's less expensive to stay than I would've expected).
  • Imagine being drunk in the mirror room. That would probably be the crowning experience of my life.
