MAVs for fun and profit
UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) have been in the news quite a bit lately, but the micro versions of these craft, or MAVs represent the bleeding edge of technology. Their small sizes almost make them seem like mere toys. While they are used for serious business, the home hobbiest is quickly catching up.
With more and more suppliers catering to the living room flyer, it won't be long before affordable personal autonomous micro spyplanes are commonplace.

These tiny things (thinking the hobby sized ones) would be even harder to spot -- the smaller they get, the more ubiquitous spying becomes. Not much smaller now than a hand, soon they'll be insect-sized. Coming tomorrow: the 'dragonfly' on the lily-pad takes pictures just like the one on your window sill. O brave new world...
