"The new group is called the Groonies, because they happen to live in a town where [Data], the Chinese kid, lives ... and he's got an electronics repair shop and all the kids hang out at his shop. He has this Chinese accent and he calls the Goonies the Groonies, and so the new kids call themselves the Groonies, until they get into a situation where the old Goonies have to save the new Groonies, or vice versa."   • This sounds the worst thing ever. Is that story for real? God, I hope not.
  • The only thing I remember from "The Goonies?" One-eyed Willy. Like kids weren't gonna get THAT joke.
  • The first one isn't even that great when you see it as an adult. I loved it when it first came out, but I was probably about eight or nine. This sounds, like dng said, like the worst thing ever. E-VER.
  • "Hey you guys!" I remember watching the Goonies when I was younger. It was one of my favorite movies for a time. A sequel (especially one so unfortunately named) might not have been such a good idea.
  • wtf? The Goonies II Script? yeah, I had the *biggest* crush on sean astin (mikey) after watching this movie. Later as a teenager, i happened across the USA to Portland, OR, and could not pass up a day trip to Astoria to see The Goonie House.
  • I remember that game. Bush vs a pretzel levels of frustration and suffering. On the plus side, you could totally screw yourself over by punching people before they'd given you the items you needed. You basically punched random walls to find things.
  • Nax- I thought about including that script link, but from what I could tell it is just a fanfic script. Didn't look too deeply into it though. I have to agree that it sounds like a horrible idea. I find Donner's level of script commitment funny though. 'maybe we'll have the story be this, or... maybe the opposite.' with the implication reading to me that it doesn't really matter. hmmm.
