Women and Dogs
via BIRIV
  • I think I've seen this before (but I don't know where). It is fantastically, almost disturbingly, unsettingly, really. People are quite strange sometimes, aren't they. Good link, forks (as usual).
  • Both charmed and touched by the series of photos showing the woman with the (gradually aging) collie, and at last -- with a certain relief -- saw her, considerably older, in more pictures with a collie pup.
  • dng: Here? Although I can't seem to get onto the page right now. Googled the link. As a hobby, much more innocuous than this chap. There's something quite invasive and intriguing about looking at someone else's photos, especially if you don't know the people in the shots.
  • Last year I bought an old photo album at a flea market. It seems to have belonged to a family; the same people turn up in the shots over and over. The thing that's remarkable is that almost every shot contains one or two people and some sort of animal (with a few exceptions - a shot of a polar bear in a zoo, a picture of a small group of people in front of a house, and a series of photos of a kitten posing in and around a basket. There are pictures of the cat with the family later. The shot of the small group is the only picture in the bunch in which an animal isn't featured). My favorite is a picture of the old man on a horse.
