Some of these are amazing. Particularly loving the Cthulhu version of The Giant and Whistler's muppet. Fab link, thanks foop.

The one of the white bear and the queen rider sadly remind me of how poor the movie version of The Golden Compass turned out to be. Those were some wonderful books.

I have totally avoided watching the movie on the basis that they would inevitably frack up the books, which were, as you say, amazing. Very much enjoyed the Sally Lockheart books as well. And I have The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ nearing the top of the to-read pile. <3 Philip Pullman.

I never read the Sally Lockheart books, and I didn't even know about The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ. I believe I will have to head to the library tomorrow. Thanks, mothninja! I hold out some hope that one day someone like the BBC will do a miniseries based on His Dark Materials, and it will be wonderful.

Some of these I'm not sure which I like more, the original or the reimage.
