Gene Shalit was the resident movie critic and sometimes-co-host of The Today Show from 1970 to 2010 (no, he hasn't died). His love of puns (and chroma-key decorated 'Critics Corner') is chronicled in this 1:20 'supercut'.

It must be acknowledged that unlike other joke-mongering movie critics, Shalit also made puns about movies he LIKED, probably contributing to his career longevity.

  • That was a joy. I don't think I have ever really watched Gene Shalit. I like it when people seem to be enjoying their jobs, and he seems to. I also wish there existed a video of my best/worst jokes ever.

  • That is a mustache only a mother could love.
  • Supercut on his hair too <:(!)
  • I don't understand why I think puns are funny, I just know I do.
  • Lowest form of humor, and I lubs 'em.
