When American Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney wanted to stand up on a chair to address the people at an Iowa campaign stop, one of his aides held the chair to prevent an embarrassing fall, while trying to stay off-camera. He failed, and became an instant celebrity and reluctant symbol of the multi-millionaire's candidacy*. Some are trying to fast-track this into Meme status. Gentlemen, start your Photoshops.

*One of Romney's biggest campaign promises is to 'make sure every college graduate has a job' (but doesn't say how). Chair Holder Garrett Jackson is a graduate of Ole Miss. That's where it all gets terribly 'off-message'.

  • In all fairness, Romney has been seen standing on chairs unaided (and that particular cafe chair looked more unsteady than most). And the first time somebody Photoshops Mr. Chair Holder propping up President Obama's Teleprompter, I will post it here.
  • I am a college grad and I wait tables. Does that count?
  • Does that count as a guaranteed job created by the Mittster, that is? I think I want to call him "Mittster Romney" if I ever meet him.
  • I still don't get how Santorum has made such a run in Iowa.
  • I just finished reading that a certain percentage of the population think that Mitt is short for Mittens. Mittens Romney. Got a ring to it, doesn't it?
  • "Bad Lip Reading" with Mittens Romney (SLYT, SFW). I cracked up at "Ding Dong Wamma Lama...".
  • "Let's all just go out and shop and grease a big nickel" The perfect Republican retort to "Hope and Change"
