Rather than cart off these frozen carcasses, lets make them part of a new kind of ice burial ground. After all, the iceman of the Alps kept pretty well for thousands of years, while the more common use of embalming fluids is highly toxic, less natural and maybe even more grim to think about. Or not?

Reading the comments about the climbers who passed David Sharpe is interesting reading: I had no idea that Sir Ed Hillary had been so condemning of their lack of action. Mark Inglis keeps a very low profile in NZ these days; I wonder if the fallout from that ascent has anything to do with it.
