I love that brave sea turtle Yu-Chan! I think she'll pull through alright, being a turtle and all. Once we found a snapping turtle that had been crushed by a car, such that a crack had opened up in the top of her shell (females are always bigger) where still encapsulated innards protruded. I pulled her shell crack apart more while my companion pushed the hernia back inside. We put her on a rock by the stream we were set to canoe. Returning to that same spot, the turtle was gone! Jumped back in the Embarrass River, in fact. Those animals are tough! They only need a little bit of help, sophisticated prosthetic flippers, or even crude doctoring, like ours was. The beak fitted eagle was heart warming too, in her own way...

Tortoise Has Leg Replaced With Swivel Wheel, is Doing Fine

Somehow this is just wrong. But I'm happy for Mr. Tortie.
-
Yeah, it's not nearly as cool as the Tahi the kiwi's leg, but as long as the tortoise is happy, then it will do.

What happens when a cat loses one front AND one back leg? In the case of Caffrey, he does just fine (but looks generally pissed).

...but looks generally pissed. Probably because hoomans keep calling him "Tip". Sorry. So very sorry...
