HMm I dunno though. They had broken up as a couple so it would be an easy conclusion to jump to. Especially if it wasn't an amicable one. Sounds more like she was trying to protect her mother than needing to learn about consequences etc etc was stated in the article.

Obviously the daughter should have asked "Mom, was this CONSENSUAL?" If the answer was no, then beating the living shit out of him would have been the right thing to do.
