Those cats are pretty doggone great. But not as great as this cat!
-
That is an excellent cat. I am looking at him/her most avidly.
-
That is indeed an excellent cat, but I'd like to think that with LATC we've currently got that guy beat by sheer numbers.
-
/courtly bow to mr cortex
-
My (late) favourite cat. *sniffle*
-
Indeed, FT, that's a great cat!
-
fish tick, that Morris picture is seriously just about my favorite submission so far. Those fucking drapes, the eyes through the ironwork, I just love that goddam picture.
-
Ah yes, but did you spot his best friend holding his paw? Fucking drapes indeed! They went very well with the naugahide bar and gold carpet.
-
I can just see it now. Fish tick in his leisure suit, martini in hand...
-
I bet that cat would have looked pretty damn awesome in a leisure suit and a martini. A classy beast indeed.
-
FT that is a great photo! I had a Morris too, he was a very sweet kitty. He died at the ripe old age of 21, despite regular battles with raccoons. (In fact we think he may finally have lost a tussle with a 'coon, since we never found him... he just disappeared one day.) Recently (*sniff*, he passed away last year) I also had a chat-Malo (play on words: "chat" is French for "cat", his name was Malo, and "chamallow", pronounced the same, means "marshmallow") and now have an adopted Maine Coon kitty named Kanoko, who is utterly adorable. "Kanoko" is Japanese for "fawn" because his coloring looks like a fawn's, especially so when he was a wee lad. Kittehs are teh greatest!!
-
Thank you fraise - your kitty is a lovely creature. And pay no mind to that horselike creature up there who likes to assign incorrect genders.
-
Tony is not a male fish? tick?
-
"assign incorrect genders" And just when you think you know someone... When I first started reading teh MoFi I saw this character called "The Underpants Monster". Without thinking I assigned it as a male, it's just too obvious, like "Flagpole". It's a wiener joke. Gotta be a man. After a year of reading my male TUM he mentioned something about his ovaries and made me reconsider. For some reason I always assign a face, gender, age etc. to people on the phone or the web who I have not seen. And often for arbitrary reasons. Wendell was a skinny, short, shy bald man. (It was because I had worked with a Wendell like that and my brain needed to fill the vacuum of physical attributes). Sorry fraise, you were a 22 year old French male until I saw a link with pictures. (I thought it meant "fresh" in French - but apparently it means "strawberry"). And yes, fish tick, I think you were male (in my head) at first as well, but with a remarkable sense of humor, then you became female in one thread, but then I saw you were a Tony, not a Toni, and you flipped back. But it's a good thing to have this confusion... the anonymity of the web defeats my built-in sexism. Welcome, cortex. In my brain you appear American, male, 27, no facial hair ;-)
-
I 'became' female in that thread you mentioned, TT. (and yes, GramMa, I am a girl of the female persuasion, and this is at least the third time I've mentioned it to you. Now go stand in the corner and think about your sins.)
-
Ooooh, Kanoko looks to be part Bengal! That would account for his gorgeousness. Bengals are the bestest kitties in the whole world. Well, except for my other kitties, who are also the bestest.
-
Look at this, cat! Best iPhone app evah.
-
No question, fish tick--your old friend definitely rates as Greatest Cat. Ah, online gender... Awhile back I found a site with a quiz which claimed to determine your gender based on answers to questions like "what color do you like the walls to be in your bedroom?" I took the quiz carefully and honestly and repeatedly was told that I was a completely different gender. The world's fastest sex reassignment! Perhaps the Internet is where we can be freed from the boundaries of gender identity. Or, not. Interesting rumination, ThinksTwice. *checks mirror, furrows brow, ponders online persona*
-
fairywench part Bengal, eh? Hmmm, there's a tom who resembles Kanoko that roams the area where Kanoko was abandoned, and he (the tom) does indeed look Bengal now that you mention it. Kanoko has the sweetest disposition -- so yes, Maine Coon and Bengal mix would account for that! TT, me male? French? Did you know you can click on a username and see a profile? "Anna" isn't exactly a male first name, and my nationality is spelled out pretty clearly! As for being aged 22, eek. Add 10 years. (Though I admit my kitteh-post does indeed sound late adolescent. But it's because kittehs are teh cute and teh adorable and wittle kitties are *snarfleneckfur* wonderful.)
-
Wait ... cortex is here?? I hope you guys cleaned the bathroom like I told you to!
-
Hunh! Watch yourself, you young whippersnapper. Why, I wouldn't talk to a cat like that. How can anybody tell anymore what going on what with all that hair and tattoos and funny clothing. Tony, Toni, ToeKnee, how do you expect old people to keep up on this stuff. Told me three times indeed! I've slept since then. You just better respect your elders, young...person. I have panties older than you are! *whacks things with her cane* *exits, mumbling all the way* impertinent twit blah blah blah
