Virtual Show and Tell
Remember "Show and Tell" in elementary school? Well it's kind of like that, but Virtual! Everyone has something they made that they want to share, so now's your chance to self link. [More Inside]
-
Ok, here's how it works: Anybody that wants to participate can pick something that they have created, and post a comment linking to it and providing a brief description. What you share is up to you. Some examples can be, a photo, a song, a picture of some work of art you created, an animation, or whatever else you can think of. Rules: 1) You can only link to 1 thing, and 1 thing only. For example, if you decide to link to a photo, you can link to that one picture, but not to an enitre photo gallery. 2) You must start off your comment with a thoughtful compliment of the submission above yours. (This is to maintain a nice atmosphere, and to make sure people are actually looking at the submissions and not just spamming their own stuff. 3) No negative comments about other people's work. (unless it's about someone who didn't follow the rules, in which case, they deserve it) 4) Enjoy! I'm looking foward to seeing all the cool stuff that the many talented monkeys have made.
-
By the way, I refuse to start it off, just so that I don't get accused of setting this up just so I can spam my own stuff. Whoever gets here first, feel free to get the ball rolling.
-
Damn, this thread is three weeks too early for my sake. I was going to link to my awe-inspiring knee-trembling spine-shivering works of unbound wisdom, so that I could rightly be recognized as your one and only God. Alas, you are now condemned to worship false gods. I pity you monkeys.
-
In an attempt to avoid having to take a look at everyone else's stuff (I kid!), I'll start things off. A Matter of Quality is a little short story I did a couple years back. I hope you enjoy.

the most important site in the history of mankind

Not bad Sandspider, although a little tough to follow when it's really late at night. I especially like the little blurb at the bottom of your pages. Oh, sure, travelling faster than the speed of light might seem like a hoot the first time around, but what does it get you, really? If nothing else, the relativistic effects are a pain. Mass increasing to infinite? No thanks. Do you know how many shoes you'd go through walking around with infinite mass? Then there's the zero volume, which makes it almost impossible to work a keyboard, much less a mouse. Don't try to outpace today's hectic lifestyle. Enjoy every moment, and stay subluminal. Ok, here's mine: Welleyes It's a photo/digital art thing. There's a description on the page. I like the site forkslovetofu, but you didn't follow the rules. Everyone, feel free to ridicule forkslovetofu.

Very spooky, Rochiebones. Looks like a scene from The Ring. Although I think the photo works fine without the eyes put over the top. My effort: Quicksand Diaries. A 2500 word story that I wrote a few months back.
-
That was a really good story Blaise Bailey Finnegan. I really liked the little poignant anecdotes. Especially the one about the schizo in NYC. I'd like to read some other stuff you've written. Can I find it from that link? Here is a poem called Grandfather that I wrote earlier this week.

this is a picture i took with my first b/w film, that i loved. it's just some plants and weird lamps that i got at goodwill.
-
dxlifer: i love b&w, and that one is especially cool. isn't it fun what you can do with light in black and white? here's a story i thought you guys might enjoy, about folks who sleep with their pets. heh. (great idea, rochiebones! a happy banana to you!)

Thanks for the input, Sciurus. I've only got one other thing up at the moment, called Clich
-
then it should suit my pseudo-intellectualism admirably. [actually i really liked it]. you should write every time you get sauced.
-
I really like dxlifer's picture.

thanks dng, that was my first roll of b/w and i was just fooling around to see what i could do. i was so pleased with that one i used it for a xmas card. i only wish i had two cameras so i could have both colour and the b/w at my disposal all the time. /i also have lots of plants, in case you didn't guess.
