Falsetto mania.
The Darkness does Radiohead's Street Spirit (4.3 MB Mp3).
From the mp3 archive The Darklings, via TTIKTDA.

Radiohead needs more falsetto? Oddly at moments sounds exactly like Tom Yorke.
-
I know. It's falsetto²

The Crapness bites and should stay far away from Radiohead. They should be turned into eunuchs (well, at least the rest of the band should) for touching a Radiohead song. Ggggrrrrrr.
-
And this is why the Darkness should burn.

I love it and abhor it. It's an amazing thing. I know at least two people who will fall at my feet in gratitude for this link, but I'm not sure what that says about those people. And here I was wondering what Van Halen would sound like in angsty-nineties mode.

Send in the music police ... I'm not sure what offends me most ... the falsetto or the bog standard choppy HM guitar ... Still I'd be interested to hear The Darkness cover something off Kid A or Amnesiac! ...

The Darkness used to have a link to their Street Spirit cover (as performed on a BBC radio appearance) on their website back before they went mega. Darkness, take 'em or leave 'em. I have seen them live, I was amused and entertained. It was a good night out. I am not one to buy their album though.

I did enjoy the video for EL Darkness' "I Believe In A Thing Called Love". Total rock cheese. And I wish I had an mp3 link for it, but a gal named Sarah Slean does an amazing cover of Radiohead's "Climbing Up The Walls". All you P2P evil-doers should be able to find it easily enough.

The Darkness really are the worst one trick pony ever. This, though, is pretty funny.
-
wow. someone who reads my blog. I'm still adjusting to the idea of actually having readers. I suppose this means I should get the MP3's back up soon, huh?
