Dear Santa... Since we don't have online access to a mall Santa, let's send our wishes via MoFi. What's on your Christmas list?
  • Mine is short: 1. A new wallet 2. A replacement cable for my iPod 3. World peace (but I figure that's a bit cliche) 4. Sleep 5. Maybe just one of those winning lottery tickets, not that I ever buy lottery tickets, so maybe it could just fall out of the sky on the night of the draw, with a note saying it's mine so I don't feel guilty about holding someone else's winning ticket.
  • Dear Santa, for Chrimbo I'd really like.. 1. to worry less 2. a few fabulously good ideas for FPP's so I can unlurk every so often 3. a preview button
  • 1. A cargo bike. 2. A safe place to store said cargo bike. 3. Someone to do the cycling while I sit in the front. 3. Better and more regulation of the financial system. 4. More kindness and charity in general.
  • As is traditional, a Dukla Prague away kit. And all that peace and love bollocks to make up the numbers.
  • Maine Coon
  • 1) a safe and peaceful flight home to see the family for Christmas. 2) a safe and peaceful flight home. Did I mention I'm flying with a (soon to be) 2 year old? By ourselves? I might be asking for too much.
  • Nah, meredithea, we did it with kid #1. If anything does go wrong, people are generally more supportive than you might expect. Wishing you luck all the same, because you can never have too much.
  • Thanks for the encouragement! We've flown before, to varying degrees of success. It just gets harder as she gets older and more active (but not yet old enough to entertain herself). Ah well - it's just a few hours!
  • 1. To see my boyfriend this year. (No, he's not invisible, it's just that we currently live on different coasts, and due to messed up circumstances, we haven't seen each other in over two years.) 2. Chocolate (Actually, Mom already sent some. Too much. Not that that will stop me. But anyway, when you haven't seen your boyfriend in over two years, you need a LOT of chocolate.) -----things I know I won't get, but want anyway----- 3. An ASUS 1000 series laptop with flash hard drive and extra RAM. 4. A TV that works 5. More chocolate
  • whirled peas
  • Meridithea, I have done a fair amount of flying with my kids. The parents on board will be generally helpful and sympathetic- the singles may hate you if your child cries but screw 'em- you can only do what you can do and kids have to be kids- I stopped worrying about.
  • Meridithea, take an extra bagful of patience to deal with your toddler, and everything will be ok. Promise yourself a hot toddy after. Take some cookies for the take-off and landing to regulate ear pressure. Otherwise, lots of pattycake. Don't be above a dose of baby benedryl if needed. As kamus says, if your baby cries and people don't like it, screw them. They were babies once too, and somebody put up with their bawling.
  • I got my iPod cable! And I'm going shopping for a new wallet today, so yay. No winning ticket, but.
  • OMG OMG OMG I GOT DDR FOR THE WIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!
