My autobiography is now illegal
- Ursula Vernon comments on a case the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is helping with, where a comic book collector is being charged with possession of child pornography aka manga comics.
As Neil Gaiman said;
“They found his manga, and found some objectionable panels,” Gaiman said. “He’s been arrested for having some drawings of rude things in manga. I’m sorry, but if you went through my comic collection, you could arrest me if you’re going to start doing that. It’s just wrong.”
Sadly my autobiography is perfectly legal unless the age of consent gets raised....by a LOT. I

Glad he doesn't have any of the doodles we did when I was ten! Wait. Would it have been legal if the proto-manga work was DONE by a child? That could open up a whole new industry - so long as the publisher or gallery owner were also under the age of absurdity...
