Maybe they were avid Faulkner fans.

Ya know, what exactly makes a group of siblings decide "let's just keep sister's body up in the attic!"? And why were they all still living together anyways? I quite enjoyed the line at the end.
-
Heh...'kin'.
-
Who says they were unhappy?
-
No-one, actually. I just put that in there to make the quote "work".
-
Heh...'kin'. sez Kith Monkeyfilter: hoping it was a dementia type thing
-
Oh, right (I'm dumb).
-
Not at all, Scrappy. I tried making the quote work without 'unhappy' in it, but it just wouldn't go. So I sacrificed fact on the altar of artistic licence. Enh.

Ya know, what exactly makes a group of siblings decide "let's just keep sister's body up in the attic!"? More than likely, the usual "if they don't know they're dead, they'll keep sending the social security cheques" ploy. Personally, though, ida picked "bury them in the backyard" instead of "keep them in the house"

The article said there was no evidence of financial wrongdoing, though. I feel very sorry for this lady. They all made the decision, but she's the last to go, so she has to deal with the consequences.
-
Ah well, it's warm in the nuthouse, and you don't have to worry about moving anybody's bodies.
-
Oh my. It's almost making me sick imagining the smell.
-
Maybe they were having sex with the bodies? Well, I'm just sayin', OK?
-
My claustrophobic mother has always panicked about being buried when she dies; she used to say she wanted her body stuffed and left in the house.
-
Bentham likes your mom's idea.
-
Bentham invented the panopticon prison.

Hmmm, TUM, sounds like my grandparents. Grandpaw always told GramMa to get stuffed, but he himself preferred to be pickled.
