Monkeys move paralysed muscles with their minds: Sending brain signals through electrodes to a paralysed wrist muscle restores movement. [Via]
  • Moving paralysed muscles with your mind seems like either an oxy moron or redundant. I can't tell which.
  • Y'know, on the one hand this is good and valuable research, but on the other, I bet these scientists didn't just find a whole bunch of paralysed monkeys to experiment on. *conflicted*
  • kitfisto, the article explains that.
  • Oooooh. That's ok then. Carry on. More experimentation on monkeys please!
  • Does this mean that one day I can plug a cord into the back of my head and control one of these?
  • I should think so! That's the sort of thing the Industrial Revolution was all about!
