Face Research Make a baby, make an average, make your own.
  • Heh. Is it just me, or do the averaged people always look better than the unaveraged ones?
  • What make faces "ugly" (and makes a face easy for me to recognize) is having distinguishing characteristics. Averaging is the act of removing anything distinguishing. So yeah, averaging does make them look better, but in a way that makes them look boring and uninteresting.
  • Very fun website, btw.
  • They need some really ugly people here. More older people would be good too, they're all young. Even the older people they have in 'Differences between Faces' are good looking older people. Also, what's this? But yeah, interesting site.
  • It was more fun doing the Make a Baby one in real life (~_^).
  • Hmmmm, interesting. I wish they had a sector where you could upload pics of mom, dad, and kid and see where the similarities and differences are. That would be cool. Everyone says your eyes are like your mom's, but are they really? Tellurian: Aliens be makin' babies, too!
  • gomichild, you are so naughty! :) "I wish they had a sector where you could upload pics of mom, dad, and kid" Can't you do that in the baby section here? http://www.faceresearch.org/demos/myfaces Yeah, I so agree with you Mr. Knickerbocker, I just thought it is a fun app to play around with.
  • Maybe I'm dumb at using that, nickyskye, but what I had wanted to do was overlay the mom and dad on baby and see what the similarities and differences were. 'course, maybe that wouldn't really work unless you had baby pics to overlay.
  • If the old guy and the old lady have a kid, it looks very very prematurely aged, which suggests to me that the website isn't taking all factors into account...
  • The obvious "Oba-cain" transform... ...including excessive doses of extra McCain and Obama beyond the ends of the scale. Full size version here.
