Didn't we see a stationary bike version of this some time back? I think anything that helps those of us who are tied to a desk get some more exercise is a good thing. With a docking station setup, you could fit out three or four of these in your office, then let people book time on them.

Jim Levine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester invented the treadmill desk. He was using it when I met him last year. He usually just walks when using it, but he burns the calories. One of my good friends from grad school works with Jim. Our lab collaborates with him. Hooray for tangentially being involved in a MoFi post.
