Yahtzee reviews Spore
- flash video.

Yeah, a lot of truth in that. I haven't come to a final judgement myself, but it is an engaging kind of game. It's not really fair to expect another Sims: you have to remember that The Sims is just the pinnacle of a series which includes one other highlight (SimCity) and quite a few duds (SimAnt, anyone?), including the largely forgotten SimEarth, which was also an evolution game ('don't buy this huge game unless you have a really well-specified 486' they said) Off topic a bit, I never got into Sims 2 the way I did with the original. I've come to the conclusion that I actually like isometric perspective, and find real 3D just too much for my simple linear mind.

I loved Sims and Sims 2 for a while, but finally got tired of the repetitiveness, which I imagine will happen eventually with Spore as well, but in the meantime it is a fun and pretty game. Plus I suspect there will be many expansions over time to keep it interesting.

Spore is for gay Canadatards who don't appreciate Alton Brown.

The Warhammer: Age of Reckoning trailer that followed the review was OMFG awesome.
-
sadly Warhammer itself is not.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case. A Dragon's Lair sense of letdown when passing from the trailer/preview to the game itself.

I'm sorry I insulted your celebrity crush. I'm sure he is very good at whipping up hot love sauce for you.
