Stanley Kubrick's Boxes - A five part documentary from Jon Ronson. Looking through hundreds of archive boxes that Kubrick left behind.
  • Yeah, well, I guess Jon does come over as a bit annoying in his presentation.
  • No sound at work here, so I'm waiting until tonight to give this a watch. *is curiously in a mood to watch a Kubrick flick*
  • The nephew spending a year taking location shots for Eyes Wide Shut does seem a tad over the top. It's a bit of an eye-opener. I mean, nephews still get paid, Hello! budget people.
  • *tries to make Rubik's Cube joke out of "Kubrick's box," fails, pouts*
  • Ohhhh. Interesting. I remember reading an article about htis some time ago, everything about the man's fixations, his ink collection... looking forward to watch this later to properly absorb. I take it all you monkeys are aware most youtoobs today have an alternate hi-res version? If you save it, (it's an .MP4 format file instead of the old .FLV[flash video]) it has slightly better image quality but much better audio. Specially useful for this kind of material.
  • Just now finally watched the complete doc. Awesome. I wonder how many surprises those boxes will keep providing to future researchers.
