  • They're not snails either, but I wonder if one of these rays ever bucks traffic and heads in the *other* direction. Saw something like that once in the spring: thousands of snails, all wearing white shells, crawling across a foot path near the Delaware River at Palmyra Cove Bird Sanctuary. Literally thousands of them, heading north to the river. Except for this one, the only one wearing a black shell, crawling south toward the woods...
