A picture's worth a thousand words.
Pictures taken by a wedding photographer before, during, and after the massive earthquake in China. Talk about a wedding you'll never forget.
-
Indeed!!
 -
Wow.
 -
I suppose some sort of bridezilla joke would be inappropriate... seriously tho, those are some amazing photos and it's incredibly lucky they all survived the complete collapse of the church.
 -
That'll teach 'em to get married.
 -
Probably caused by the CA Supreme Court legalizing Gay marriage, which does nothing but undermine traditional marriage.
 -
So you might say that the church crashed the wedding.
 -
In china... wedding crashes you!
 -
The bride looks remarkably calm. The groom is nowhere to be seen. What happened to him?
 -
He was quaking in his boots.
 -
I think I'd be stunned. I'd just lie down and not get up. Here's some more photos.
 -
100-year old churches in China? Bride looking undusted in front of rubble when everyone else is trashed? Something doesn't seem right...
 -
Undusted? Look at her grey hairs in the bottom photo compared to the shining black in the top. Most likely the grey is now permanent! Very scary. *mutters I wish I'd had some warning before MY marriage! Oh, NOTHING DEAR!
 -
five bucks says hubby never forgets their anniversary.
 -
I'm normally happy to settle for a fight and a sausage roll at the weddings I go to.
 -
"Sausage roll." *snicker
 -
Don't deny you want to sample my flaky puff pastry.
 -
Dang, Capt.'s been in the fridge and got all the butter again. Look out kit, he's comin' your way!
 -
Let us know if he makes the earth move for you, eh?

Chinese parents protest over school quake deaths: In a rare public protest in China, hundeds of bereaved parents in one town in Sichuan province have angrily demanded the punishment of those responsible for the shoddy construction of schools.
 -
China victims need millions of tents. It's good to see the Chinese government stepping up on this one a bit. I believe one can donate to the Chinese Red Cross to get more tents out there, as this article mentions they are sending tents: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7396400.stm

Actually, it looks like you can even just donate to the American Red Cross to help with tents: Response to the China Earthquake

China buys the silence of grieving parents: Free ‘life insurance’ has been offered to families of children who were killed when schools collapsed
 -
It's unfathomable for whole villages to lose so many of their children. It's even more unfathomable to be told to be quiet about it and move on.

In the same vein as "crankily dwelling on old wounds."

Yah, so much for the 'new progressive' China.

Chinese earthquake may have been man-made, say scientists: An earthquake that killed at least 80,000 people in Sichuan last year may have been triggered by an enormous dam just miles from the epicentre
 -
Good grief! How little we understand the consequences of what we do.

 -
Yeah, Mother Nature has a way of letting us know we're NOT in charge of this planet.
