I can name that tune in 30 seconds... The latest web rush: sites that will tell you where a song you heard on a TV commercial came from. Adtunes vs. What's That Called? (U.S. version or U.K. version) Very important in a world where Led Zeppelin and Cadillac go together.

"Do You Realize That You Have the Most Annoying Commercial?"

  • The joys of the free market: to hear Bowie stu-stu-stuttering "Ch-ch-ch-changes!" while some computer graphics explain me why I shouldn't wait one more year for an IRA... /sad
  • Moby. Isn't the answer always Moby? In all fairness, these sites are really useful, in that "helps-you-stop-obsessing-over-a-trivial-but-nagging-question-that's-been-annoying-you-for-days" kind of way, which for me is one of the prime definitions of 'useful'. And also, it's the only place you'll ever see two Aphex Twin tracks in the Top Ten...
  • There's a website that's been doing this since 96, http://www.songtitle.info/ I even have one there, identifying Massive Attack's "Angel" in a Adidas soccer ad........
  • Ah, thanks for posting the adtunes link. I had posted a question in their forums, six months earlier and till now, forgotten to check the thread for replies. Looks like no answers.
  • I have won many a bet thanks to Adtunes. Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy".......deeply disturbing CD to me. shudders
