  • Applause! Wow, did THAT bring back memories of watching this show on the couch with my mom after I quit college! In between each few words, I imagine Doogie pausing and gazing thoughtfully at his bedroom ceiling before continuing typing. . .
  • "Tonight Wanda and I said those three little words "Let's not doit." I love you Wanda Plenn." December 1 and 9, 1989.
  • They had internet in 1989? What have I missed? Oh that's right. Not much.
  • So appropriate, since Neil Patrick Harris' current sitcom character is also blogging. Sadly, the idiot webmasters at CBS do not have archive links, but trust me, the Barney Blog was active from nearly day 1 of the show. I'll bet Wil Wheaton is so-o-o-o jealous.
  • And since Doogie ran for a total of 97 episodes from '89 to '93, the journal-writing closing most but not all of those episodes, and the Doogie blog only has 51 entries, I suspect there is more retroactive archiving to be done. But hey, I think he originally did it on an Apple II; recovering all the documents shouldn't be impossible, but it may take a while...
  • Dang, that brings back memories. (Although, I don't remember Doogie having so many typos.)
  • Wow, he's, like, the OLDEST 17 yo doctor I know! Dammit, they ALL look 17 when you get to be my age. Just you wait, you whippersnappers, just you wait.

  • I remember being very depressed that Doogie Howser lost his virginity before I did. I know he was a doctor. And fictional. But still, man, he was DOOGIE. It was years before I got to do it Doogie-style.
  • He was shirtless on "How I Met Your Mother" last week. May I say? Doogie is one hot man.
  • No you may not. Plus, giant brain bugs are terrified of him, apparently.
  • Yes, goofy-looking, three-named boys everywhere can look with hope at the transformations of little Neil Patrick Harris and Anthony Michael Hall.
