Squids are of course related to Octopuses and Goats.

I was watching this on the teevee, with an interview with one of the scientists. Scientist: We're going to insert a probe *ahem.. this may be uncomfortable..er* up into its anus. Oh yeah? Uncomfortable for whom?
-
Wow, I might actually watch this. Thanks!
-
Just had a peek in and it looks as if it's out of the thawing bath and on the dissection table, but not much activity going on yet. No goats in sight. *is thankful that the internets do not yet offer smell-o-vison*

Scientist: We're going to insert a probe *ahem.. this may be uncomfortable..er* up into its anus. *worries if the Greys have such webcasts*

HA! Those guys over there stole our FFP! Hankers beat them to it. You rock, Hank.
-
Cut me off a bit o' the tentacle, and pass the dipping sauce, mind.
-
This squid looks to be covered with red blood, but that can't be what that is, because as said here "the oxygen binding ability of the squid's blood... contains a copper-based protein that turns blue when it binds oxygen but is clear without oxygen."
-
Y'know, I'm glad of the scientific knowledge we'll gain from dissecting the beastie, but DO NOT WANT TO WATCH
-
"the oxygen binding ability of the squid's blood... contains a copper-based protein that turns blue when it binds oxygen but is clear without oxygen." OMG! Squids are Luxan!
-
Kiwi barbarian scientists ate part of the colossal squid!!!! Reportedly tasted like chicken. Not the Colossal Squid. One of the other ones they had, just for snacking on.
-
Not to mention the 27CM EYES OMG.
-
It is very dark where they live.
