OMFG, Plegster, what a cool find! SO hard to pick favorites, but I think it would have to be either this one for the facial expressions and body language, or thisset, for obvious reasons.
Yes, Monkeys, I've always had an appreciation for the finer details of public bathrooms. A purse shelf in the stall, a self-foaming soap dispenser, a foot-operated sink, all set my poor heart aflutter.
Somewhere, I have a picture of me standing next to the "Loo of the Year" award plaque in the ladies' room at the Tower of London. I'll see if I can dig it up.
Oh, this is ten times more fantastic than I thought it was going to be.
I was at one of my new favorite restaurants (where I just missed Hillary Clinton (youtube)), and they had the greatest sign ever in their bathroom by the sink. It was a funny little take-off on The Wizard of Oz and why you should wash your hands. (I found a .pdf of the sign here. It's number 12, and there are great literary handwashing signs on numbers 7-12. They even have an Are You there, God, it's Me, Margaret takeoff!)
It's the embedding of gendering norms in the signage of the everyday - oh sorry, this isn't my LOL theorists.
