I appreciate the "Organisms are always getting better" entry. Too many people use that idea to justify their own species/racial/cultural centrism.

10. Evolution is ‘just’ a theory Of course not. It is also a popular Journey album from 1979.
-
Organisms are nothing. It's all about the genes.
-
God is evolution Keep improving

Number 7 is not a misconception - in fact, whoever wrote the list agrees with number 7. I don't think anyone claims that evolutionary theory is complete. The misconception is that the incompleteness of evolutionary theory in some way undermines its explanatory power.
-
Number 1 is not a misconception either. In fact, it has nothing at all to do with the theory of evolution itself.
-
Well, it's a misconception about what evolution is and what it isn't. So, I think it does have something to do with it.
-
This is an interesting site to browse around too. Thanks for the list, H.

3. Evolution Leads to Immoral Behavior ...is also true, actually - no behaviour of any kind without evolution. Perhaps they really mean 'Belief in Evolution leads to Immoral Behaviour'
-
Re: #1, creationists claim that the lack of spontaneously appearing lifeforms somehow disproves evolution. For example.

Evolution is by its impersonal nature amoral. Conflation of natural selection and ethics is a blatant non sequitur.
