Fresh optimism in Turkmenistan A year after the death of Saparmurat Niyazov, "Here we have peace, we have stability and we know what will happen tomorrow."

I draw no analogy concerning possible improvements in the absence of other Bashis.

  • Oh, progress! More education and ability to talk with at least some of the rest of the world! I hope it continues. (And, beeswacky should be here to see it.)
  • What wonderful news. (and I hope bees is reading about it wherever he may be, and rejoicing)
  • It does show that it the abscence of power-mad demagogues, and dictatorial fiends that people naturally flourish and create a better society. It could happen here too had someone the temerity and/or the chutzpah to challenge the status quo- and I'm not just talking about overthrowing our own fearsome but mandatorily loved MonkeyBashi. (Hi Bees- come back!)
