Curious,George: Camping in SoCal

I am planning a camping trip in the coming months somewhere within a 100 mile radius of Los Angeles. Does anybody have advice on fantastic uncommonly travelled spots? Looking for stunning beauty and good trails.

  • Write me directly and I can tell you about a couple of cool hot springs that are off the beaten track. One place in particular by the Hoover Dam (kinda out of your mile range) is fantastic. You can camp right on the river with the hot springs just a short walk from the river bank. You have to rent a boat for a day or two depending on how long you stay, but it is a great trip, beautiful scenery and access to some great soaks. squidranch@comcast.net
