The McCollough Effect
- seemingly a very long-lasting afterimage effect, although it appears to have a quite different mechanism.

*shakes fist at Hank* Great, one of my old acid haunts has returned! For the love of... *smashes monitor*

changed by the consumption of coffee and other psychoactive drugs oooooooh, teh colors!!!
-
That's really interesting, thanks!

Didn't happen for me, but my binocular vision isn't normal. I cant see 3-D movies, either.

I just noticed something about this effect. The effect for me was slight: a yellowish-green in the horizontal field but no effect at all in the vertical field. The interesting part is that if I move my head closer to the monitor, or further away, it disappears completely. If I return to the distance where I viewed the colour fields, the green haze returns.

So are you an extrovert or an introvert -
whoa, that is cool. especially in how long the effect lasts.

I just got a headache. Thanks a lot.
