The century of the self.
By introducing a technique to probe the unconscious mind, Freud provided useful tools for understanding the secret desires of the masses. Unwittingly, his work served as the precursor to a world full of political spin doctors, marketing moguls, and society's belief that the pursuit of satisfaction and happiness is man's ultimate goal. The BBC documentary on Google Video: Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4.

In fact, I'll watch it more than once!

Hey, homunculus... You haven't been around lately, have you? I've been sick so maybe I'm just fuzzy, but welcome back if you've been absent.

How about you just keep napping and we'll wake you up when something needs to be administered, "Chief".
-
Can I just say that "fissionchips" is one of the best nicknames ever? And that it makes me hungry?

No I'm sorry there isn't time. Thanks HWingo!

-
Watched part 1 last night. Quite good.
-
Feel better, Tracicle.
-
I think you're just fuzzy, Tracy. I've been merrily posting away in old threads. Hope you feel better soon!
-
Poor KrakenTraken! Have some Kraken-Seltzer and feel better fast!

Thanks for the greetings HawthorneWingo, I hadn't realized that I've been in full lurk mode since joining! Hank Mabuse, you're perhaps the second person to nail the origin of my username. Of R.A.W.'s books I've only read the The Illuminatus Trilogy, which is where I came across the detective Fission Chips.
