The 50 best movie robots.

See also: Disqualified contenders.

  • Westworld's scene where they take Yul Brynner's head apart gave me nightmares as a kid. ED209 and Maria are the undisputed king and queen of robotdom. Beauty and the beast, truly.
  • Again, we neglect Cyborg Police Officer. Tsk tsk.
  • Two words... Cherry. 2000.
  • Nexus-6 disqualified?!?! Uch. What about IG-88? (ROTJ) starwars.wikia.com/wiki/IG-88 What about Keanu Reeves?!?
  • Dude, the T1000 is WAY cooler than the Droideka. At least they put ED-209 in the Top 5 where he belongs.
  • I like the Johnnycab robot from TOTAL RECALL.
  • I don't care if The Daleks were disqualified or not. That creepy voice haunts my nightmares.
  • It's as if someone raided my porn collection.
  • If I had a nickel for every time people went for robot porn...
  • What about Pimp Bot from The Ice Pirates?
  • I dunno... any list that contains both the words "best" and "Twiki" is a bit iffy from the get-go. And what about Tom Servo?
  • And what about Tom Servo? Right on
  • What, no Tin Man? And none of Dr. Goldfoot's Bikini Machines? And the Replicants disqualified? *hmmph*
  • Booty booty.
  • Nothing from Bladerunner? LAME!
  • Meat-y robots got disqualified. Replicants are meaty. Then again... Ash and the other Alien robots looked very meaty and milky to me. I think they bribed the judges.
  • I dunno... any list that contains both the words "best" and "Twiki" is a bit iffy from the get-go. Just for that, I'm never going to come meet Mr. Whiskers.
  • Since when is the HAL9000 a robot? HAL is an AI. Similarly for that stupid talking car. If they're including AIs, where's Skynet?
  • Serious omissions: John Malkovich in Making Mr. Right. Tom Servo without question. And definitely at least one from Bladerunner.
  • What, this one?
  • “It’s a pretty dark world,” Mr. Scott acknowledged. “How many decent human beings do you meet these days?”
None, because I primarily hang around and deal with people from a close minded and cloistered community based on technological illusions who egocentrically take credit for the liberal and social advances of humanity in all societies in the world despite the rote understanding of current events and an overarching inability to stray from convention from fear of capital risk leading to conservative, predictable and soulless pseudo-art-by-committee with a shocking dearth of inspiration. Yeah, they're all vapid and despicable. Gladiator was awesome, too.
  • M'whay.
  • Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, The Great Muppet Caper (1981) LIES!!!
