HOOKED! A 1966 comic about heroin abuse
  • Jeanie should have moved on much earlier.
  • It makes perfect sense that she would shoot up "just to understand" what he's going through. Foolishly naive and devoted life partner! See where your empathy took you! Muahahaha!
  • So it's heroin abuse AND heroine abuse.
  • Pretty good story, all told. True about getting rid of the physical addiction only to go back to the same friends and locations, and get the psychological craving. Apparently that causes many overdoses. The titles of these comics are funny: "HOOKED!", "TRAPPED!", "SCREWED!" "PWNED!"
  • Why was his older brother able to do marijuana and not get sucked into stronger drugs? I actually have heard of women who try heroin and crack to "understand" what their partners are going through. I think it's really more a matter of feeling like it's the only way she's going to be able to be inside his world. He has this huge thing that's more important to him than even she is, and she's jealous. Better to move on, obviously.
  • Because he quit early on, while the younger brother kept it up.
  • I've seen the needle and the damage done A little part of it in everyone But every junkie's like a settin' sun.
