I used to be someone else, but I traded him in. The day after Bergman, Michelangelo Antonioni, director of Blow-Up and The Passenger is dead at 94.
  • More info on who he was and why he's important here and here.
  • Huh. I was planning on watching L' Eclisse tonight. I've never seen any of his movies.
  • Blow-Up is excellent.
  • Wonder who's gonna be the third?
  • I have the same trouble with "Antonionionioni" as I do with "banananana" - knowing when to stop.
  • Wonder who's gonna be the third? Gotta be someone in those same exalted ranks. I'm going with Roger Corman.
  • Squid: you mean movie maker or just in the face-biz? Tom Snyder dead at 71
  • i am running out of "."'s.... sad....
    .

  • I'm going with Roger Corman. Odd, I would have said Harvey Korman.
  • But evidently, it's the prevwie button that went.
  • I thought Antonioni was #3. Tom Snyder was #2.
  • Or, what Gramma said. Sigh. *goes back to bed*
  • I was going for famous directors.
  • >:(
  • I hope not Werzog!
  • Das Werzog cannot die. After a nuclear holocaust, it's going to be rats, cockroaches, and Das Werzog, roaming the snowdrifts.
  • I saw the Passenger just recently. It was good. But someone beforehand told me how it ended. Grrrr. Still worth watching though. I liked Blow-up as well. The scene at the rock-concert/bar is hilarious. These films were controversial when they first came out but now they're kind of quaint and not so shocking.
