Wedding Dance Videos
Some people waltz at their first wedding. Some two-step. Others perform Thriller, maybe a little Michael Jackson. Or Dirty Dancing. Or breakdance. Or, my favorite, Ok Go.
And maybe our fearless leader can explain what happened at the altar in this New Zealand wedding.

That was a treat. Thanks for the gumball Mickey.

The Ok Go one was awesome, but it made me sad because I now realize that the students who did that dance for the UCSF Comp Bio talent competition didn't make it up themselves. Now I feel less bad that they didn't win.

Thanks, Mickey! That was fun. Friends of mine danced to Movin' Right Along from the Muppet Movie. Surprisingly apt for a wedding. I once dated a girl who thought that Dirty Dancing was the best movie ever made. A lot more whipped, and the man in that link could have been me...

There was a show on TLC or something called something like "Wild Weddings." Anyway, I was on it sometime last year or the year before. TLC paid me a couple hundred bucks or something to use the footage.

The breakdance is hilarious! For a first dance! I predict a fun relationship for those two.

Oh, that kiwi one is great. A nice way to fill in that awkward signing-the-registry time. I laughed, I cried. We went to a wedding last November at which bride and groom did the Dirty Dancing (Time of My Life) dance and lipsynced the words. It was very cute.

Fantastic post Mickey!

There is a link on the front page of cnn.com right now to a video of lots of inmates dancing to Thriller. As marriage and prison are often used interchangeably, I thought I would mention it here. I would even link to it, but I am way too lazy. Plus, there is always the chance some generous monkey will put the link here.
-
That video is the reason I found a wedding party doing Thriller. From there, it was just a goldmine of more wedding dances. I considered linking the prison one, and didn't. But it is worth checking out. Lazy bernockle, here's your link.
-
Oh, man. NEVER enable bernockle.
-
I'm glad I clicked on those, because feeling just a bit more like a dried up spinster is EXACTLY what I needed today.

That "Thriller" video is both amazing and disturbing.
