When I was a child, I went to the zoo and told all of the elephants when my birthday was, figuring there was no way that they would ever forget to send me a card. Guess what? Thirty-some-odd years later and I have exactly zero cards to show for it. Is this proof that elephants don't really have great memories? Not necessarily, it is proof, however, that they either don't have great memories or that they they are giant obstinate pricks.

No, bernockle, thing is their trunks get in the way so they can't lick the stamps. The article did seem to have some good news mixed in with the horrible idea of elephants or anything getting caught up in the minefields; that there may be elephants to spare in other neighbouring countries. Or did I get that wrong?
