I tried it out - twittered twice, couldn't see the point and can't see how it would be useful for me.
I don't think people need to have regular updates of my day.

My first thought when this came out was that it seemed to me like the perfect application for 15 year olds who needed another way to ratchet up their cell phone bills. Not that that's a bad thing for a company trying to make a profit, but as for me and most adults, getting instant notification of absolutely meaningless trivia seems unneeded.
On the other hand, Wikipedia claims John Edwards and Barack Obama are twitter junkies. And since it's on the internet, it must be true.
Yeah, it's completely ridiculous -- blogging for people with no attention span. And yet it's easier and more fluid than IM, and while the signal-to-noise ratio is low, there are some folks who challenge themselves to make the most of that limited space..
I don't get it. Is this one of those "internets" the kids and presidents are always going on about?

It's pretty cool, but most people, including me, are boring.
These IRC channels like Twitter are dangerous. First it was just a happy hunting ground for botnet herders trying to create legions of zombie computers for some hidden downtime agenda. Now here it's become a signature testimony, a court document. Where will it all end?
It's funny reading the comments here knowing who uses twitter these days.
I resisted until a couple of months ago. Now it's an admission that I also like my news in 20-word chunks.
And knowing what Stephen Fry is up to is entertaining in a minimalist way.
