Incarcerex: It's Time for a New Bottom Line. [As requested, via MeFi.]
  • Mad propz, H-Dawg.
  • This was awesome. Very clever indeed, couching the thing as a pharmaceuticals ad, thus underscoring the hypocrisy of a culture which pushes drugs on pretty much everyone while villifying all drugs not controlled by the FDA. A journalist friend once told me, you'll never see policy change on marijuana so long as the pharmaceutical, alcohol and tobacco lobbyists are around, since herb is much less dangerous than either and is easy for folks to produce themselves, hence is tough for government to control. Let's not forget that the prisons represent a whole lot of income for a whole buncha folks, either. Will we ever see sanity? Not from the looks of the current Supreme Court... In America, what can't be controlled for the sake of commercial gain is made illegal. Period. It's all about money, kids.
